Rewind has always been obsessed with information. And the more protected the information the more obsessed Rewind will become. The same obsession also stands true for individuals with guarded pasts, especvially those like Chromedome who attempt to completely shroud their history.

Rewind has augmented his body in order to better serve his thirst for knowledge. In his new alternate mode, Rewind carries two data spikes that can interface with most computer systems. And in both modes, he has permanently mounted cameras so that he can record and back up every moment, every memory and every scrap of information that he may come across. He then files it away in a complex cataloging system that only he understands.
