Recolors: This mold was recolored into Movie Preview Ultra Magnus (2001, Japan) and Matrix Glow Ultra Magnus (2001, Japan).

The cab was repainted from Optimus Prime (1984). The cab has also been used for Generation 2 Optimus Prime (1993), JAFCon Black Optimus Prime (2000, Japan), New Year's Convoy (2002, Japan), and Botcon 2007 Pepsi Optimus Prime (2007).

Remolds: This figure was never remolded.
Name Reuses: The name Ultra Magnus was reassigned to Robots In Disguise Ultra Magnus (2001-2004) and Energon Ultra Magnus (2004).
