Name Reuses: The name Optimus Prime was reassigned to Robots In Disguise Optimus Prime (2001-2007) and Armada Optimus Prime (2002-2006). Additionally, the prefix name Optimus has been reassigned to Optimus Primal (1996-2006) and Optimus Minor (1999).

The suffix name, Prime, was reassigned to Rodimus Prime (1986-2006), Primal Prime (2000), Omega Prime (2001-2003), and Nemesis Prime (2003). In Japan, Prime was the name given to the Mini-Con Sparkplug (2002-2003).
